Daffin V. Ford Motor Company

Goldenberg Schneider and its co-counsel Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro successfully certified an Ohio statewide class on behalf of all Ohio purchasers or lessors of 1999 and 2000 model year Mercury Villager minivans. The United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit upheld the class certification. This lawsuit claimed that thousands of 1999 and 2000 Mercury Villagers developed significant levels of carbon deposits in the throttle body system, causing the accelerator pedal to stick, resulting in a potential safety hazard. This case was settled on a class-wide basis.
